The Team

Hannah Joerin - Head Coach

I was put on a horse's back before I could walk. I don't remember a time where I was not thinking about horses. To my core, I am a horse girl. This sparked my competitive drive and caused me to compete in 4H, going to the State championship show every year I could when I was a teenager. After I got a taste for jumping in 4H, I soon began showing on the local hunter jumper circuits. My pony and I won numerous championships while we were partners. I competed at the regional level for my high school equestrian team and worked with several olympians. Currently I compete at various levels, from local to national.

I grew up with horses that needed maintenance, causing me to fully dive into the science behind horses. This influenced my training methods to use positive reinforcement and focus on horse biomechanics for the best combination of methods that I have worked with. I continually am finding new information on the ways of the horse, and adapt my programs as needed.

In addition, I continuously learn about new and innovative horse care. I am an equine massage therapist and saddle fitter. My goal is to make horses in my care as comfortable as possible, and this will continue through my studies. I am also receiving a Masters degree in education to further enhance my ability to teach riding lessons.

Whatever a horse is forced to do, it will do without understanding and beauty. Just like a dancer who gets abused would dance; without grace.
